Why "One"?

We have been in the cemetery business since 1965.

 

However, when we opened up Lighthouse Crematory, we naively thought that the same respect given and used for your loved one in the cemetery, was also given and used at the crematory as well.....sadly, were we ever wrong.....

Funeral Homes transport as many as 6 bodies at a time and crematories cremate as many as 12 bodies a day. 

​

We were shocked....Never had we seen more than one body delivered to a cemetery for a service, so then, WHY was the crematory any different? The reason is.....

YOU, the family....you are not there.

​

Funeral Homes know you will  not be at the crematory, when they bring your loved one and those crematories are more than happy to receive multiple bodies, because it saves them money as well. 

​

But the risks are too high.....this is YOUR loved one and YOUR loved one deserves dignity and respect.

 

And because this is disrespectful,  it increases the chances of errors being made, and that is why we quickly instated a policy of one body delivered at a time.  The Funeral Homes listed on our Preferred Funeral Home List, are the only ones that have STEPPED UP and GUARANTEED that they will deliver your loved one in a respectful and dignified manor.
